Princess Diana Dress Exhibition &

Saturday 11 November 2017

Trace the evolution of the Princess’s style, from the demure, romantic outfits of her first public appearances, to the glamour, elegance and confidence of her later life. Don’t miss an extraordinary collection of garments, including Victor Edelstein’s iconic ink blue velvet gown, famously worn at the White House when the Princess danced with John Travolta. The Princess’s relationship with her favourite designers is explored through a display of original fashion sketches created for her during the design process. In addition, a recently discovered blue tartan Emanuel suit will go on display to the public for the first time. This suit was worn by Diana on an official visit to Venice in the 1980s.

While in residence at Kensington Palace, the Princess admired the changing floral displays in the historic Sunken Garden and would often stop to talk to the gardeners who cared for it. Complementing the dress exhibition, the garden has been planted with flowers and foliage, inspired by memories of the Princess’s life, image and style.

At peak times we anticipate a high volume of visitors, so please do allow for queuing time.

Currently, the palace is the official London residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Other residents include Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Duke and Duchess of Kent and Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Areas of Kensington Palace are open to the public. Visitors can walk through the King’s State Apartments, the Queen’s State Apartments and the Gardens. There are also exhibitions plus a shop and The Orangery café for coffee, lunch & afternoon tea.

Advance tickets for Kensington Palace are limited and due to interest in ‘Diana: Her Fashion Story’, many dates are now sold out, so this is a fantastic, hassle-free opportunity to experience this unique exhibition and visit Kensington Palace staterooms and gardens at the same time.

Many of us are going to the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Hall on this day, but as all the places have now sold out, please join us for a wonderful day in London to visit the beautiful Kensington Palace and the new exhibition of Princess Diana’s dresses.

Limited places available. Adult & reduced price concession (over 60) places now on sale.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

We so enjoyed ourselves on Tuesday Lin, and it was a “mystery” right up until 3pm – well done. I’m so glad I found Solent Events. It’s so much more fun going with other like-minded people & takes the responsibility out of driving.
