9 to 5
Wednesday 13 March 2019
NEW RELEASE FOR 2019!
EARLYBIRD PRICE ONLY UNTIL 23 SEPTEMBER 2018
Inspired by the cult film and brought to you by this hilarious new West End production is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business! This BRAND NEW Musical is based on the 1980 movie of the same name, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL is about to get down to business – with a strictly limited season at the West End’s Savoy Theatre.
Dolly Parton’s Broadway musical 9 to 5 is coming to the West End for the first time and Louise Redknapp has bagged the starring role.
The musical, which is based on Parton’s 1980 comedy film of the same name, previously did a tour of the UK between 2012 and 2013, but has never had a stint on the West End. It’s previous Broadway production ran in 2009 and was lead by Oscar-winner Allison Janney, who was nominated for a leading actress Tony award (one of four nods the production received).
Former pop star Louise, has big shoes to fill as she prepares to take on the role of protagonist Violet Newstand, which was previously played by Parton in the feature film. Luckily, the Strictly Come Dancing finalist does have experience as a theatrical leading lady, as she was recently part of Cabaret’s tour of the UK and played the leading role of Sally Bowles opposite Will Young. Joining Louise Redknapp on the Savoy Theatre stage will be Love Island winner and dancer Amber Davies, who makes her West End debut, Natalie McQueen (of Kinky Boots) and comedian Brian Conley.
The smash-hit musical features a book by the iconic movie’s original screenwriter Patricia Resnick and an Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton.
Please book as soon as possible with our EARLYBIRD offer to avoid disappointment. This is going to be a BIGGIE in 2019!

We so enjoyed ourselves on Tuesday Lin, and it was a “mystery” right up until 3pm – well done. I’m so glad I found Solent Events. It’s so much more fun going with other like-minded people & takes the responsibility out of driving.Maureen Colyer
