THE UNEXPECTED GUEST

A MID-SUMMER THEATRE TREAT – now booking!
After two very successful visits to the Mill at Sonning for Agatha Christies thriller, Spiders Web, and Arthur Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles, you have another chance to dine and re-visit this beautiful mill at Sonning with Solent Events in June 2018.
After his tremendous success directing SPIDER’S WEB and THE HOLLOW, The Mill is thrilled to welcome back Brian Brian Blessed who once again directs one of Agatha Christie’s thrilling mysteries. This intriguing ‘whodunnit’ twists and turns towards an edge-of-your-seat climax, leaving you guessing right until the last chilling moment!
When a stranger runs his car into a ditch, on a dark and foggy evening, he makes his way to an isolated house where he discovers a woman standing over the dead body of her wheelchair-bound husband, a smoking gun in her hand. What’s more, she admits to murder. Then, surprisingly, the unexpected guest offers to help her concoct an alibi.
But is it possible that Laura Warwick did not commit the murder after all? If so, who is she shielding? The house seems full of possible suspects…
The mill was empty until 1977. It was then that Tim and Eileen Richards, who had a great love of theatre, found the derelict building and decided to convert it into The Sonning Mill as it is today. The transformation took four years to complete, with the Mill at Sonning Dinner Theatre opening on 22 July 1982. Definitely worth a visit – we LOVE it!
So why not join us for a hassle-free afternoon & evening of relaxation, lunch, murder, thrills and mystery included!
But be quick – they always sell out fast!

What Our Customers Are Saying
Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!
We so enjoyed ourselves on Tuesday Lin, and it was a “mystery” right up until 3pm – well done. I’m so glad I found Solent Events. It’s so much more fun going with other like-minded people & takes the responsibility out of driving.Maureen Colyer
Dear Lin, Thank you for sending the photographs from ‘Collabro’ at the BIC. We had a lovely first outing with Solent Events. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it.Linda Hunt
Hi Lin, Just a quick thank you from us both for arranging such a brilliant day yesterday. We had such a lovely time and the hi-light for us was the steam train trip! Looking forward to the next Mystery TourSue & Bert Barnes
