Late summer at
HIGHGROVE GARDENS

Wednesday 04 September 2019

SORRY – SOLD OUT! Waitlist only

As part of HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall’s private residence, The Royal Gardens at Highgrove are opened annually for visitors to share in their enjoyment of this much-loved inspirational setting.

Created with imagination and passion by the Prince over the last 38 years, the series of interlinked organic gardens reflect his deep commitment to sustainability, as well as a natural artistic ability. As an important haven for a rich variety of flora and fauna, the gardens have been developed to not only please the eye, but sit in succinct harmony with nature.

You can experience the gardens’ seasonal highlights between April and October each year, and discover how the Prince has transformed a landscape which was once merely lawn into an ever-changing canvas of magnificent garden scenes. We will see these splendid gardens once again in late summer.

From the classic order of the Cottage Garden to the pastoral beauty of the Wildflower Meadow, discover these unique spaces, along with hidden curios and horticultural innovations, on a tour that offers a personal perspective of this much-admired public figure.

One of my great joys is to see the pleasure that the garden can bring to many of the visitors and that everybody seems to find some part of it that is special to them.” HRH The Prince of Wales.

Please join us for a wonderful day in the Cotswolds, stopping at the pretty market town of Malmesbury for FREE time and lunch at leisure (or bring a picnic), where you will have time to browse the quaint shops, take lunch and maybe visit the imposing Abbey and its gardens (donation required). Picnics are not allowed into Highgrove, so if you choose to bring lunch with you, this will have to be eaten during our free time in Malmesbury.

After a 2-hour guided tour of the beautiful gardens at Highbury, you will be treated to the ‘Gardeners Afternoon Tea’ in the Orchard Restaurant.

For the perfect end to a perfect day, a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles will be served en route home!

PLEASE NOTE: As Highgrove is a Royal residence and due to security regulations, all visitors must bring a form of photographic ID with them on the day, ideally a passport, driving license or bus pass. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR COMPANIONS ARE ALSO  INFORMED.

Highgrove is The Prince of Wales’s private home and the use of mobile phones, cameras, binoculars and all recording equipment is prohibited. Please leave such items at home, on the coach, or switched off inside your bag.

You are advised to wear sturdy footwear or walking boots, as tours do continue in wet weather. Please note that there are no seating facilities in the gardens.

As the grounds are uneven, unmade and bumpy in places, this tour is not advisable for those with mobility difficulties.

YOU ARE ADVISED TO BOOK YOUR PLACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE as this tour normally sells very quickly, especially with an EARLYBIRD PRICE!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

We so enjoyed ourselves on Tuesday Lin, and it was a “mystery” right up until 3pm – well done. I’m so glad I found Solent Events. It’s so much more fun going with other like-minded people & takes the responsibility out of driving.

Dear Lin, Thank you for sending the photographs from ‘Collabro’ at the BIC. We had a lovely first outing with Solent Events. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it.

Hi Lin, Just a quick thank you from us both for arranging such a brilliant day yesterday. We had such a lovely time and the hi-light for us was the steam train trip! Looking forward to the next Mystery Tour
