JOIN SOLENT EVENTS FOR SOME WINTER SUN IN 2022!
Unfortunately our Winter Sun’21 Caribbean Cruise in January has been hit by the world pandemic and like other cruise lines, Fred Olsen has found themselves having to follow the current FCO (Foreign & Commonwealth Office) guidelines.
They have therefore taken the difficult decision to cancel all Winter 2021 Caribbean Cruises with immediate effect.
Obviously we are all deeply disappointed, but at the same time, we are very understanding of the situation.
BUT we definitely do not want to miss out on seeing this beautiful destination in all its glory, so Solent Events has also made a decision …. we have rescheduled our 2021 Caribbean cruise to a very similar one in the winter of 2022, visiting 11 spectacular islands on the ‘CARIBBEAN ISLANDS & TRINIDAD CARNIVAL CRUISE’ (M2204), which also includes one of our favourite previous ‘On Tour’ islands – Cuba!
Rest assured we will organise absolutely EVERYTHING for you from start to finish! There’s no hassle. There’s no worrying – AND we personally escort you all the way!
We will fly from London Gatwick to Havana, Cuba and after cruising 10 more islands, return to the UK from Bridgetown, Barbados. Although we have to wait another year, which will just fly by, the winter of 2022 doesn’t look so bad now – does it?!
So, if you’re interested in getting away from at least one of our long, damp UK winters, on a small, friendly ship (max 950 pax), please contact us as soon as possible. We envisage a high demand after the current pandemic and as all cabin prices on cruises are ‘fluid’ prices will go up, or down with demand!
Iconic Caribbean with Trinidad Carnival
Departs: Havana, Cuba • Thu 17 Feb 2022 • 14 nights • MS Braemar
An immersive discovery of 11 iconic islands with their cultural highlights; this is the Caribbean at its very BEST! Authentic flavours of traditional food and drink, the sights and sounds of famous local dance, music and carnival and much more, provide an unforgettable taste one of the world’s most captivating regions.
Before setting sail, time in bustling Havana provides the perfect opportunity to soak up the rich culture of this fabled Cuban city; feel the vibrant atmosphere and remarkable history of the UNESCO-listed Habana Vieja or see the city via classic American car, or simply enjoy delicious rum cocktails with the locals.
Then it’s on to Jamaica, to delve deep into the fascinating history of reggae and pirates. Enjoy a less-crowded exploration of Port Royal, where Braemar will be the ONLY ship in port. Learn all about the village’s swashbuckling past or tour to Kingston – the former home of Bob Marley – for laid-back vibes, music and spicy jerk chicken.
If you would like to know more about this cruise or the ship, please do ask, as your personal escort, Lin, experienced a similar 14-day Caribbean Cruise on MS Braemar in January 2020
