LIVE THE DREAM!
ENJOY SUMMER SAILING
in the Solent
Tuesday 20 August 2019
An all inclusive Luxury Away-Day!
Why not take the helm and treat yourself or a loved one to an exciting Away-Day on the Solent!
This special Away-Day exclusively for Solent Events & Leisure could just be the icing on the cake for a memorable summer of 2019, but with a maximum of SIX places available it is going to be a very popular event!
Excitement builds as you board one of Fairview Sailing’s top class Beneteau Oceanis 37 sailing yachts at Haslar Marina in Gosport.
Start the day with canapés and bubbly, or opt for a typical sailor’s breakfast of scrumptious hot ‘bacon rolls and pastries’ – just to keep you going until lunchtime!
To crew or not to crew? It’s entirely up to you!
Along with our expert skipper, we will hoist the sails, trim to the wind or you might like to take the helm! If not, just sit back and enjoy an exhilarating sail, taking in the views along the Isle of Wight and mainland Hampshire!
We will sail majestically along the Solent to Cowes, one of the most famous sailing venues in the world. After taking in views of Osborne House and Norris Castle we will turn into the River Medina and moor up in Cowes for lunch.
A delicious 3-course lunch with wine will be taken on shore, where you may also fancy taking in the atmosphere of a bustling Cowes High Street whilst you can. Depending on the weather, you may just prefer to chill out on deck.
This wonderful day on the Solent includes all you will need for an exciting day on the water. All hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, canapés, lunch, nibbles and Afternoon Tea back at the marina will be provided.
Safety is a very important aspect to sailing and with this in mind, all safety equipment on board includes personal life jackets.

The above itinerary is only provisional, but will give you an idea of the time schedule expected.
As it is normally cooler on the water than on land, for your comfort, we suggest the following:
Ladies, NO heels please! Casual, flat, comfortable, light coloured soled shoes are required for the decks and below decks.
Trousers (not jeans, as they take a very long time to dry if they get wet!), shorts.
If lovely summer’s day, please still pack a bag with: a warm rainproof jacket or jumper, hat (sun & woolley), gloves
The weather forecast will be taken into account a few days before date of event. For this reason, you will asked on the booking form
if ‘your dates’ during that week are flexible.
Final details and timings will be sent by POST approximately 7 days before departure date to ‘lead name’
Solent Events & Leisure & Fairview Sailing reserve the right to alter the final tour itinerary as necessary if circumstances change beyond their control.

What Our Customers Are Saying
Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!
We so enjoyed ourselves on Tuesday Lin, and it was a “mystery” right up until 3pm – well done. I’m so glad I found Solent Events. It’s so much more fun going with other like-minded people & takes the responsibility out of driving.Maureen Colyer
Dear Lin, Thank you for sending the photographs from ‘Collabro’ at the BIC. We had a lovely first outing with Solent Events. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it.Linda Hunt
Hi Lin, Just a quick thank you from us both for arranging such a brilliant day yesterday. We had such a lovely time and the hi-light for us was the steam train trip! Looking forward to the next Mystery TourSue & Bert Barnes
