Please join us in October 2024 for this WORLD PREMIERE and original adaptation of Rebecca Netley‘s bone chilling novel – THE WHISTLING, as a Saturday afternoon in October is the perfect time to meet up with friends for a delicious lunch and share the thrills and spills of a great ghost story, just before Halloween!
A young woman takes a new job on a remote Scottish Island, and quickly learns why the previous nanny didn’t last long! When Elspeth arrives on a remote Scottish island to become nanny to a young child, she hopes to bond with her. Until she learns that, for reasons no one will explain, Mary has not spoken for months ….. and the girl’s silence is not the only mystery. Hypnotic lullabies drift down empty corridors.
Strange dolls appear in abandoned rooms. And as the nights draw in, darker questions arise . . . What happened to Mary’s late twin, William? Why did their previous nanny disappear so suddenly? And is the whistling Elspeth hears at night just the storm outside?
This ghost story will send shivers down your spine and haunt your dreams – but it’s still one of those thrillers NOT TO BE MISSED!

If you’ve never experienced intimate setting of The Mill at Sonning, you’re in for a pleasant surprise! It’s Solent Events’ favourite dinner theatre, located in a tranquil position in the countryside beside the Thames at Sonning Eye, adjacent to George Clooney’s house. George and his wife Amal are patrons of the theatre and have hugely supported them in the past two years and are often seen in the audience at the Mill. We’re sure you will be equally as enthralled as we are, by this wonderful theatre with the very BEST seats for the very BEST view!
