We always have such a wonderful time at this delightful theatre, we’re going again in the week of ‘Romjul’, which basically means the weird period between Christmas and New Year ….. in Norwegian! So why not do something different into your 2022 week and join us for a visit to this amazing dinner theatre!
TOP HAT brings the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age and the magic of the world-famous dance partnership of Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers to the stage.
This 2011 musical based on the 1935 film of the same name, tells the story of Broadway sensation Jerry Travers who dances his way across Europe to win the heart of society girl Dale Tremont.
With an uplifting and entertaining script, this show celebrates 1930s song, style and romance. Underpinning every scene are Irving Berlin’s magnificent songs including Puttin’ On the Ritz; Cheek to Cheek; Isn’t This a Lovely Day; and of course Top Hat, White Tie & Tails.
As usual the talented, creative team will put together stunning settings, sparkling costumes, heavenly choreography, a tip-top cast all wrapped up with – as Irving Berlin says – “music and love and romance” So don’t miss out. Book now….“and let’s face the music and dance!”
A delicious two-course Lunch with tea/coffee is included, to be served before the show.
The Mill at Sonning is renowned for its fantastic Music Nights and with a loyal fan base, it just keeps on growing as an assorted generation of music lovers takes the opportunity to hear their favourites performed LIVE on the stage!
If you have never experienced intimate setting of The Mill at Sonning, you’re in for a pleasant surprise! It’s Solent Events’ favourite dinner theatre, located in a tranquil position in the countryside beside the Thames at Sonning Eye, adjacent to George Clooney’s house. George and his wife Amal are patrons of the theatre and have hugely supported them in the past two years and are often seen in the audience at the Mill.
On arrival, we will be dropped off in the car park, right in front of the theatre – so there is very little walking. A delicious 2-course hot & cold buffet meal with tea & coffee will be served in the restaurant on the first floor, where the theatre is also situated. (NB. a small lift is available on request – if required).
As this venue is so special, especially at Christmas, tickets always sell fast! It is therefore advisable to book as soon as possible. We’re sure you will be as enthralled as we are by this delightful theatre! at
