During this 10-day coach holiday, you will be surrounded by jaw-dropping views, spectacular mountains, thundering waterfalls and glistening lakes. Scotland is a land of dramatic landscapes, highlands, grand castles and iconic cities which are steeped in history and culture.

The Western Isles will also enthral you – an archipelago comprising of hundreds of islands off the northwest coast of Scotland, divided into the Inner and Outer Hebrides. They are home to rugged landscapes, fishing villages and remote Gaelic-speaking communities – and some much appreciated, ‘away-from-it-all peace’ and quiet!.

During our homeward bound route, We will visit Edinburgh, often referred to as the ‘Athens of the North’, with its dramatic castle, elegant squares and Royal Mile, before heading south to the beautiful Yorkshire town of Harrogate.

NB. For your comfort, a maximum of 30 passengers apply to this exclusive Solent Events Tour (most coach companies normally take 45-50  passengers!).

For the comfort & fairness to all passengers during this 10-day tour, a daily rotation system for coach seating will be in operation.

On board coach facilities include: A/C, toilet, magazine rack, drop table, hostess service with homemade cakes, sweet & savoury snacks, hot & cold drinks to purchase. There will be the occasional DVD & background music when appropriate …. & lots of fun!

All hotel rooms include: En-suite bath or shower, TV, hairdryer, toiletries and most with tea/coffee making facilities & wi-fi

An Exclusive Solent Events Tour!

Proposed Itinerary (exact times to be confirmed)

Day 1 – Monday 21 May
Morning Pick-up from Coliseum Coach Depot, Southampton; Gosport; Lee on the Solent; Stubbington & Fareham. Travel from last pick-up at Fareham to the Preston Leyland Hotel. Complimentary brunch bap served. Comfort stops en route. Dinner in hotel

DAY 2 -Tuesday 22 May
Our journey continues, with a one hour boat cruise on Loch Lomond, before continuing on to the Ballachuilish Hotel at Glencoe for an overnight stay. Dinner in hotel.

DAY 3 – Wednesday 23 May
Late afternoon ferry crossing between Mallaig and Lochboisdale. Dinner on board with two nights at the Isle of Benbecula House Hotel.

DAY 4 – Thursday 24 May
A day at leisure to relax on Benbecula or join Lin on a ½ day adventure! Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 5 – Friday 25 May
The coach departs for a late morning ferry between Berneray and Leverburgh and the scenic journey on to Stornoway and two nights at the Cabarfeidh Hotel in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 6 – Saturday 26 May
A full day exploring Stornoway and the surrounding area with a local guide. Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 7 – Sunday 27 May
The morning will be at leisure before heading to Stornoway ferry port for the journey back to the mainland to Ullapool and the Grant Arms Hotel in Grantown-on-Spey. Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 8 – Monday 28 May
The coach will depart Grantown for the journey to Edinburgh, and the Edinburgh Centre South Bridge Ibis Hotel which is centrally located in the old town, just off the Royal Mile. Afternoon and evening at leisure to sample the local cuisine and atmosphere of this vibrant city centre.

DAY 9 –Tuesday 29 May
Our final stay is at the stately Victorian Majestic Hotel, built in 1899 sitting in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. The hotel is surrounded by eight acres of gardens that overlook the town. Dinner in the hotel.

DAY 10 – Wednesday 30 May
After check out, the coach will depart and head for home and back to Fareham and other local drop-off points.
