EXPECTED CLIMATE in November
As November is a transitional month (wet season into dry season), you can expect a mix of dry and rainy days. The average monthly rainfall decreases in mid-November, and showers become less frequent. Overall, November is an excellent time to visit Costa Rica. As a result of the previous months’ rains, the vegetation is still lush and you can see vibrant green landscapes all over the country. Although the rainy season still lingers in early November, it eases off by the mid/end of the month when the dry season begins. Some coastal areas in the Pacific might be warmer. Also, higher elevation areas like Monteverde might be cooler than other areas in the Central Valley, like San Jose. On the Caribbean Coast, it gets hot, but there’s also a greater chance of rain. One of the best places to visit in November is the northern Pacific coast, being the driest region in the country. Great beach towns include Tamarindo.
Best of all, November in Costa Rica means limited crowds, so better experiences!

Pachira Lodge offers 88 rooms connected by elevated, covered, wooden walkways joining the wide verandas. All rooms are large and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows. Mint-green walls provide a delicate counterpoint to the glowingly polished hardwood floors and a welcoming arrangement of tropical blossoms that sits on a low rattan table, just past the door. A ceiling fan ensures air circulation. There is a sitting area in the corner for reading, a low table for luggage, and open shelving suspended by ropes along one wall, for storing personal belongings.
The bathrooms are beautifully appointed, with the same pale green walls as the room. The floors are large, ceramic tile and the shower walls are white ceramic. Over the sink is a bamboo mirror and a small shelf.
The hotel offers an exquisite restaurant, where buffet-style meals are served. You are also invited to enjoy the bar, with a great view of the main lagoon, and the turtle-shaped swimming pool; one of the largest pools in the area.
