With a hotel & leisure industry background since leaving hotel college, Lin founded Solent Events & Leisure in 1991 with the sole purpose of providing local, like-minded adults with reliable, hassle-free and affordable experiences to fill their leisure time. Personally organised & personally escorted Luxury Theatre Trips & Away-Days evolved, but Lin expanded her UK & European travel portfolio to the rest of the world in 2007. An example of our service: I am very proud to say that where other travel companies adopted as many  excuses as possible during the Covid cancellations, (resulting in a shoddy service, failure to refund claims quickly and not answering telephone calls etc,  nothing changed at Solent Events. The office was open throughout and quickly arranged tour refunds if required, with customer communication and satisfaction at the forefront of our personal service …. and looking ahead – I won’t be going on strike either!
