Stepping onto the island of Skopelos, just as the sun sets over the Mediterranean, you’ll meet Nikos, Kate, Adam and Konstantina as they navigate family life in the taverna. You’ll find yourself lost in a fabulous world, as a warm, romantic and amusing story is performed around you. Enjoy the glorious decor, once the backdrop to the iconic movie, now dazzling Mamma Mia! The Party, guests.
So what actually happens during Mamma Mia! The Party?
It’s an absolutely fantastic theatrical experience, where the action takes place all around you and the Taverna. Unlike normal theatre, it’s like a PARTY, so there’s not a specific stage performance and guests often have to turn around in all directions to see the action!
Whilst you’re settling down, it may seem as if nothing much is happening. You’ll be sitting at your table, waiting to hear the first ABBA chord …… and then, as the waiters slowly pick up their guitars and the lights dim, get ready for the party to step up a notch ………….. or two!
Storyline: Mamma Mia! The Party storyline does not actually follow the same Mamma Mia! musical storyline as you may expect. Leading the proceedings are Nikos and his British wife Kate, a married couple who own a Greek taverna on the island of Skopelos. Running the restaurant with the help of their friends and family, join Nikos and Kate throughout an action-packed night at the Taverna, trying to make sure it’s a smooth-running evening – especially when the chef Debbie causes mischief!
At the same time, diners follow the Romeo & Juliet inspired story of Adam & Konstantina – an Englishman and a Greek woman whose love is questioned as a result of their different nationalities. With the blessing of ‘Grandma’, will they be able to stay together and continue their true love?Singing along is definitely encouraged, so warm up your vocal cords and practice ‘Waterloo’, ‘Take a Chance on Me’ etc. You may even be called upon to interact with the performers, and feel part of Niko’s taverna family!
In the final section, get ready to become a ‘Dancing Queen’. As the courtyard tables are cleared and the chairs are stacked, the O2 becomes the hottest of dancefloors, with everyone’s favourite ABBA music playing until the end of the evening. ABBA fans will just love it!
Lunch Food: As you’d expect, the food is filled with delicious, healthy, Greek dishes. Everyone will receive a welcome drink and a delicious 4-course meal served at your table on sharing platters – mezze, starters, mains & side. The dessert is individually plated.

Where to sit?
ALL OUR TABLES ARE RESERVED IN TIER A
Tier A – Savour the magic of Skopelos while seated in the lower-terraces & courtyard.
Tier B – Enjoy the beauty of your surroundings from the upper terrace and balconies.
Tier C – Only a limited number of tables across the terraces and balcony available, but as these tables have restricted views, we haven’t booked any!
Tables are of varying sizes and it is currently unclear as to what will be on offer to us. Of course all travelling companions will be seated together, but please indicate on the booking form if you and a preference of table size, but this is not guaranteed.
It’s not an easy place to get to on your own, unless you go overnight – and it’s such a hassle! So, why not make it easy on yourself and join us on our coach? Dress in your best Abba style and ‘make memories’ in the spectacular surroundings of Nikos Taverna for the BEST fun-night ever! It’s a really great FEEL-GOOD day out!
(The storyline has been adapted for the London production, and is the first production to be staged outside of Sweden. Mamma Mia! The Party in London is adapted by Sandi Toksvig, a British-Danish writer and comic, whose writing credits include Bully Boy at The Other Palace.)

0830 Pick up at Fareham – Peak Lane
1100 Arrive o2 Drop off coach park – just a 5 minute walk to the front door.

The above itinerary is now FINAL, but the return times are still provisional depending on time show eventually finishes and traffic leaving the o2.
Coach seats are allocated on a first come first served basis, after Club-21 Members. Seat numbers will be given when boarding the coach.
Couples & friends will always be seated together. Larger parties will be seated together as far as possible.
Preferred choice of area will be taken into consideration, but cannot be guaranteed.
Solent Events & Leisure reserve the right to alter the final tour itinerary as necessary if circumstances change beyond their control.

To get you going, the table will be served with a traditional Greek sharing mezze of breads, dips and olives.
The iconic Greek sharing salad with fresh heritage tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese and onions all drizzled with olive oil and garnished with torn basil leaves. For vegan guests, the Greek salad comes with vegan feta. This is accompanied by spanakopita – layered filo pastry, feta and spinach. Vegan guests are served with rolled vine leaves, filled with rice, onions and herbs.
Braised lamb stifado and slow-cooked beef, served with garlic roasted baby potatoes, vegetable & tomato briam with red wine jus, presented as a sharing platter per table. For our vegetarian and vegan guests, we present potato and aubergine moussaka.
A sumptuous Greek lemon cake served with Greek yoghurt, apricot compote, orange caramel and confit orange skin. For our vegan guests, we will be serving loukoumades, delicious Greek donuts accompanied by a sweet fig jam.
To follow: tea or coffee with baklava – nut-free cranberry and filo pastry.
